Giant polymersomes are versatile and stable biomimetic compartments that ideal for building cell-like systems. However, the transport of hydrophilic molecules across membrane, which controls function systems, is limited by low permeability polymeric bilayers. Therefore, mechanisms to control necessary create functional Here, we describe design giant equipped with spiropyran-based modulators. Photo-isomerization modulators leads perturbation polymer resulting in increased permeability. The photoactivated were used construct two systems controlled light-activated molecules. First, designed an enzymatic micro-reactor activated light irradiation. Second, constructed a hybrid coacervate-in-polymersome system mimics adaptive formation biological condensates cells.
